W L Watson & Sons award winning stonemasons

Four generations of expertise, craft and care

W L Watson & Sons is an award winning family business which was established in 1924. Our dedicated team of highly skilled and qualified stonemasons is recognised as one of the country’s leading stone masonry contractors.

Our extensive knowledge and passion for stonemasonry has been passed down from each generation. We couple this knowledge with the latest stone cutting technologies  enabling us to order direct from various quarries which we have longstanding relationships with.  All our materials are sourced direct from UK suppliers and cut to order in our workshops.

We are as proud of our large scale projects for clients including Strathmore and Wormsley Estates, iconic buildings such as the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, McManus Galleries and Scone Palace, as we are with private client work such as worktops, hearths and small stone repairs.

This pride runs through our a workforce, one that we are committed to investing in, ensuring that we can deliver high quality work that builds strong, trusted relationships with our clients.

We are a 4th generation award winning, traditionally skilled family business

Our expertise, skilled workforce and onsite technical capabiltiies enable us to provide wide range of stone services. From full stone restoration, stone matching and lime pointing services to kitchen worktop, vanity and bar top design and installation. Whether working on large scale projects directly with the architect or smaller private projects we apply the same level of care and diligence and will be onhand to advise and guide you through every stage of the project.

We have a reference portfolio of hand carved fireplaces and hearths from prestigious hotels, country estates and private homes, and provide a full design, template, manufacturing and installation service. We also source a large range of natural stone to meet clients’ needs.
